About This Opportunity
The Lowitja Institute is offering Higher Degree by Research (HDR) Top-Up scholarships to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who are enrolled in a higher degree by research and have passed their confirmation of candidature. The focus of the research must be related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and align with Lowitja Institute's research agenda. The top-up funding can be spread over two years and includes $10,000 stipend to the student and $10,000 travel costs for conferences and study/research related expenditure. Applicants must be in receipt of an Australian Government RTP stipend or other stipend for which the basis is to provide an allowance whilst undertaking the HDR program. Students will be required to demonstrate that their area of research is related to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing.
