Pär Lagerkvistpriset

Pär Lagerkvistpriset is a literature prize awarded by the Culture and Recreation Committee in Växjö Municipality every two years in memory of Pär Lagerkvist. The purpose of the prize is to reward outstanding authorship in the spirit of Pär Lagerkvist. The prize was first awarded in 2011, more than 60 years after Pär Lagerkvist received the Nobel Prize in Literature. The prize amount is 100,000 Swedish kronor and is awarded biennially to recognize exceptional literary work that reflects the values and spirit of Pär Lagerkvist's writing.
