Practical Traineeships for Foreign Students of Natural and Technical Sciences, Agriculture and Forestry (IAESTE)

This programme aims to improve the professional and practical qualifications and intercultural skills of programme participants through internships in commercial enterprises, research and higher education institutes in Germany. The program is offered through IAESTE (International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience), a global exchange network. Internships typically last two to three months, though some may be longer depending on the provider. Interns receive a monthly stipend and are covered by comprehensive insurance. The programme is specifically designed for students of Natural and Technical Sciences, Agriculture and Forestry who are enrolled in IAESTE member countries. Applications must be submitted through the IAESTE national committee in the student's home country, which conducts its own selection process before nominating qualified candidates. The internship provider makes the final acceptance decision.
