Prairie History Medal

The Prairie History Medal is an annual award presented to a convocating student majoring in History at the University of Alberta. The medal recognizes achievement in two full courses in Canadian History, with at least one course required to be in Western Canadian History. Recipients must demonstrate satisfactory overall academic performance as determined by the Department of History. This endowed award was established by Mr. James H. Gray of Calgary, Alberta, and is administered through the Faculty of Arts. Students are automatically considered for this award based on their completed General Application through the university's scholarship system.
