About This Opportunity

The Presidential Scholars Program is the University of Nebraska's premier academic scholarship designed to enroll and create opportunities for Nebraska's best and brightest students. The program covers the complete undergraduate cost of attendance including tuition, fees, books and supplies, housing and food, personal expenses and transportation, plus an additional $5,000 annual stipend. For students matriculating in Fall 2026, the program is open to Nebraska residents who achieve either a composite ACT score of 36 (with STEM score requirements for newer exams) or an SAT score of 1570-1600. The scholarship enables Presidential Scholars to focus on their studies and pursue opportunities like internships that lead to success after graduation. The scholarship can be applied to any campus within the University of Nebraska System, including UNK, UNL, UNMC, UNO, or NCTA. Recipients must maintain a 3.500 cumulative GPA and complete 24 credit hours each academic year. The scholarship is renewable for a maximum of eight consecutive semesters, providing comprehensive support throughout the undergraduate experience.
