President's Undergraduate Scholarship in Languages

For Summer 2026, Middlebury will offer two scholarships for each language at the Language Schools for current undergraduate students at Middlebury College. Recipients of these scholarships will receive funding to cover the total fee (tuition, room & board) for one summer of any language. The scholarship is highly competitive and aims to support students with strong demonstrated interest in language study through coursework, volunteer work, internships, travel, or study abroad experiences. Applicants must show high academic achievement and have the support of the Middlebury College language department. The scholarship covers attendance at the Middlebury Language Schools, which offers immersive language learning programs in twelve languages including Abenaki, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.
