About this opportunity
The Primary Indigenous Student Bursary provides financial support to Indigenous students pursuing post-secondary education in programs related to Primary's business areas. The bursary is valued at $2,000 and supports students enrolled in fields including Powerline Technicians (PLTs), Electrical Engineering, Design/Design-build, drafting, business, and related disciplines. Five awards are available annually.
Applicants must be Indigenous students in any year of their post-secondary education and must be enrolled full-time at a Post-Secondary Institution in an eligible province. Students are required to demonstrate their passion for the utilities sector through a personal introduction, which can be submitted as either a written letter or recorded video. The introduction should explain how the scholarship will help achieve their academic goals and outline their career ambitions in the utilities or consulting sectors.
To apply, students must provide proof of Indigenous ancestry (Status Card, beneficiary identification, or a letter from their nation), a copy of their acceptance letter or most recent transcript, a copy of their next semester schedule, and their personal introduction. Applications must be submitted through the Primary Engineering website by the August 1 deadline.
