Prime Minister's Scholarships for Asia and Latin America

The Prime Minister's Scholarships for Asia and Latin America programme supports New Zealand students and citizens to undertake educational programmes in eligible countries across Asia and Latin America. The scholarship aims to build connections and understanding between New Zealand and these regions. The programme offers funding for various types of educational experiences including internships, semester exchanges, postgraduate programmes, research, and short programmes ranging from 4-12 weeks. Scholarships are awarded to both individuals and groups, with separate application rounds held annually. Individual programmes must be a minimum of 6 weeks for Asia and 4 weeks for Latin America. Eligible Asia destinations include Greater China, Singapore, India, Japan, Republic of Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines and Thailand. Latin America destinations include Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Chile.
