About this opportunity
The Princess Grace Awards are game-changing grants offered by the Princess Grace Foundation-USA to support and elevate extraordinary early career artists in theater, dance, and film. The Foundation is dedicated to upholding the legacy of Her Serene Highness Princess Grace of Monaco (née Grace Kelly) and her commitment to advancing the arts in the United States. The award recognizes both creative generators (including theater directors, designers, choreographers, and film directors) and performance-based creatives (including actors and dancers).
The Princess Grace Award provides an unrestricted cash grant of $15,000 paid directly to the artist. Applicants must be nominated by a non-profit university, organization, media arts center, or previous Princess Grace Award winner. Self-nominations are not allowed. The Foundation evaluates artists through the lens of their individual journey and is committed to identifying and supporting diversity in all its forms.
The application process consists of two rounds. Round 1 requires a nomination letter, artist statement, CV, and a 2-minute work sample, with a deadline of February 2, 2026. Invited applicants proceed to Round 2 (deadline May 1, 2026), which requires additional written materials, an extra letter of recommendation, and up to 10 minutes of work samples.
