About This Opportunity

Princeton in Asia (PiA) fellowships are one- or two-year immersive work placements at host organizations across Asia. These fellowships provide recent graduates with the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work in diverse focus areas including arts and culture, economic development, education, environmental sustainability, peace and justice, public health, sports, and STEM fields. Fellows are placed in countries such as Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. The program emphasizes cultural immersion and cross-cultural understanding between the United States and Asia. Fellows become employees of their host organizations and receive a stipend intended to cover safe housing, food, telecommunications, and local travel. PiA provides comprehensive support including premium-free travel medical and emergency evacuation insurance, International SOS membership, mental health support, pre-departure training, language grants (by application), and access to Country Advisors and the PiA Alumni Network. The program seeks individuals who embody values of transformation, immersion, relationship building, humility, mutuality, and community contribution.
