About this opportunity
The Professor Chester Davis Scholarship provides financial support to undergraduate students in the W.E.B Du Bois Department of Afro-American Studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. The scholarship will be awarded annually to a student majoring in Afro-American Studies.
Preference will be given to a first generation student with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Selection of recipients will be made by the W.E.B. Du Bois Department of Afro-American Studies scholarship committee in consultation with the department chair.
The scholarship is not automatically renewable, but award recipients may reapply in subsequent years. Students are automatically considered based on completion of the General Application.
