Professor Marguerite Schumacher Nursing Scholarship

A nationally known nursing leader, Professor Marguerite Schumacher was appointed to the University of Calgary's Faculty of Nursing in 1974 and served as the Faculty's first Dean between 1975-79. This award honours her momentous contributions to nursing education. Offered annually to an undergraduate student entering the Faculty of Nursing, Degree Holder or Transfer Route, the scholarship is based on academic merit using admission average to the Bachelor of Nursing program. Preference is given to students whose home address is in a rural community. This scholarship recognizes academic excellence among nursing students entering the university.
