About this opportunity
The Professor Marsh Edwards AO Scholarship is a postgraduate scholarship established in 2016 as an endowment by Marcia E Edwards to support students with their studies in Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney. The scholarship is valued at $6,750 per annum and is tenable for up to four years for the full-time duration of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and a personal statement demonstrating the applicant's interest in large animal practice and intention to work in rural veterinary science, as well as how the scholarship will assist in achieving educational and career goals and positively impact the lives of animals. Preference is given to applicants from rural or regional areas who are male, interested in large animal practice, intend to work in rural veterinary science, and are Australian citizens. Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 75 each semester and submit reports at the start and conclusion of the scholarship detailing the impact on their studies and their commitment to rural veterinary science.
