Professor Oluf Kolsrud og hustru Borghild Kolsruds legat STI

The Kolsrud Legacy was established by Mrs. Borghild Kolsrud, widow of Professor Oluf Kolsrud, through a will dated May 30, 1956. The legacy provides support to scholars, students, or pupils in upper secondary schools from the three northernmost counties of Norway (Finnmark, Troms, and Nordland) for education or as a contribution to scientific work. The grant is awarded to men or women who wish to study and work with history, including church history and cultural history. The legacy is administered by UiT – The Arctic University of Norway, with a professional committee consisting of the county librarian in Troms, the bishop of Nord-Hålogaland, and the rector of UiT, which evaluates applications and makes recommendations to the board for final decisions.
