About this opportunity
The Professor Robert and Josephine Shanks Undergraduate Scholarship is designed to support Australian students entering their honours year in science, engineering, or technology at RMIT University. This scholarship provides $8,000 for one year and is made possible by the generous donation from Professor Robert and Josephine Shanks, both RMIT alumni committed to encouraging Australians to enter academic research. The scholarship aims to provide financial support to students undertaking their honours year, reducing economic pressures and allowing them to focus more on their studies and research. Recipients must demonstrate strong academic performance with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and intend to continue their education at RMIT with a research degree the following year. Past recipients have noted that the scholarship relieves financial stress and allows more time to be dedicated to university work and personal wellbeing.
