Progress of Ideas Scholarship

The Progress of Ideas scholarship program supports the cost of attendance for students in fields of study related to economic equity and social justice. Founded by the Progress and Poverty Institute, the scholarship echoes the organization's original 1925 mission to promote the ideas of 19th century social reformer Henry George, focusing on challenging the drivers of inequality in systems of governance and taxation. The program seeks recipients whose lived experiences have engendered in them a commitment to social justice and a drive to make the world a better place for all people. The scholarship is administered by Scholarship America, the nation's largest designer and manager of scholarship and tuition assistance programs. Recipients pursue studies in diverse fields including environmental science and policy, public policy, city and regional planning, sustainability, criminal justice, and public administration.
