About this opportunity
The Progression Award is a cash award of £1,000 for current students enrolled upon second year undergraduate courses at Cardiff Metropolitan University who completed Year 1 of their course in 2026 and have received high marks. The award is designed to support students from areas with low participation rates in higher education. Limited numbers are available, with allocation priority given to those with the highest percentage of marks at the end of the 2026/2027 academic year. To be eligible, students must be home students for fee paying purposes, be full-time students who completed year 1 and are enrolled onto year 2 of the same undergraduate degree, and have a permanent address in an area with the lowest participation rates in Higher Education as defined by the Higher Education Funding Councils. Successful candidates must have achieved at least 70% average course mark. The award is paid under the assumption of successful progression onto the next year of study.
