Project Grant for Research on Cyber and Information Security

The Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) offers project grants for research on cyber and information security within the natural and engineering sciences. The purpose of the grant is to give researchers the freedom to formulate their own research ideas, methods and execution, and to solve a defined research task within a limited time. This project grant is specifically aimed at supporting research on cyber and information security within the natural and engineering sciences field. Applicants can request funding for all types of project-related costs including salaries, premises, operational costs and depreciation. The grant period ranges from 1-4 years with start in January 2026. Applications are assessed by subject-specialized review panels consisting of Swedish and international researchers based on scientific quality, originality, applicant competence and feasibility.
