About this opportunity

This project grant is offered by the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) as part of a national research program on the social consequences of digitalization, established by government mandate. The program aims to contribute new knowledge about how digitalization affects and is affected by social and cultural relations, working life, education, organizations, markets, and the democratic system including public administration. The grant provides researchers freedom to formulate their own research ideas, methods, and implementation to address a defined research task within a limited timeframe. The program welcomes applications from all scientific fields as well as inter- and multidisciplinary approaches. Research may encompass local and national conditions as well as international comparisons. Funded projects will be part of the national research program and coordinated by a scientific coordinator.

Review process

Applications are reviewed by an international panel in two stages: spring and fall meetings. At least three panel members review each application individually. Only applications with reasonable funding chances proceed to the fall meeting for in-depth discussion by the full panel.
