Prosjektmidler til strategisk trafikksikkerhetsarbeid i kommunene

Østfold fylkeskommune invites municipalities in Østfold to apply for project funding for strategic traffic safety work. The program supports activities and measures that contribute to achieving the county's ambitions: that all municipalities have valid traffic safety plans, all municipalities are certified as traffic-safe municipalities, and 80 percent of children and youth without the right to school transportation walk or cycle to school. Funding can be used for planning, knowledge enhancement, activities, or physical facilitation related to traffic safety. The project must have a duration of up to one year and the grant must be used within the calendar year. Funds cannot be transferred to the next year. Examples of supported activities include developing traffic safety plans, coordination work for traffic-safe municipality certification, travel habit surveys among children and youth, school route plans, bicycle training, upgrading of paths and shortcuts used for school routes, and lighting of crossings for pedestrians and cyclists. All projects must align with UN Sustainable Development Goals.
