About this opportunity

QATSIF (Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Foundation) recognizes the vital role that successful completion of schooling and the availability of opportunities through higher education have in building a foundation for employment and better quality of life. The scholarship provides two-year funding to support students commencing in Year 11 to help sustain individual retention rates in final years, and attaining Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement (QCIA) studies. The scholarship is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who are Australian citizens and Queensland residents. Applicants must be enrolled or have confirmed enrollment at a Queensland school, be in Year 10 or 11 at the time of application, and intend to complete their QCE or QCIA. Students must have at least 85% school attendance and be under 35 years of age. Over 380 schools in Queensland are involved in QATSIF and these schools have administered scholarships to over 16,300 students.
