About this opportunity
The Quinquin Foundation Tuition Fee Scholarship is a postgraduate research scholarship established in 2014 for the education and formation of young talents in the field of classical music. This scholarship is funded by the Quinquin Foundation and supports students conducting research in classical music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
The scholarship is available to full-time Masters by Research or PhD students at the Conservatorium of Music who are studying classical music. It can be awarded as either a merit scholarship (automatically considered as part of admission) or as an equity scholarship (requiring separate application).
The scholarship provides tuition fee support, with the specific value and duration to be determined by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and stipulated in the scholarship offer letter. Recipients are selected based on academic merit, personal statement, demonstrated evidence of disadvantage, portfolio/performance, and/or research achievements and potential.
Scholarship holders must maintain satisfactory progress through annual reviews and may conduct up to 12 months of research outside Australia with appropriate approvals. The scholarship is subject to availability of funding and cannot be deferred.
