About this opportunity
The R W Barnes Scholarship Fund (Mathematics Award) is a merit-based scholarship for undergraduate students of Black heritage studying mathematics at Imperial College London. The scholarship provides a cash bursary of £14,500 per annum for up to 4 academic years, excluding repeat periods of study. The award is specifically designed to support students from Black heritage backgrounds pursuing full-time undergraduate degrees in the Department of Mathematics. Recipients may be expected to meet informally with the donor on occasions, participate in events surrounding the scholarship, or submit short progress statements to be shared with donors. This scholarship is only available to new students starting in the academic year 2025/26 and cannot be deferred. The Joint Mathematics and Computing BSc/MSci Programme does not qualify for this award.
