About this opportunity
The RACP Indigenous Scholarship Program aims to support Australian and Aotearoa New Zealand medical graduates and current RACP trainees who identify as an Aboriginal person, Torres Strait Islander, Māori or Pacific Islander, that are on their chosen career path to becoming a Physician. The Scholarships provide a funded pathway through Basic, Advanced, Faculty or Chapter training in Australia and/or Aotearoa New Zealand.
The program includes several scholarship options: College Indigenous Australian and Māori Health Scholarship made possible by the Fellows of the RACP; Indigenous Australian and Māori Health Scholarship for Paediatrics and Child Health supported by the Paediatrics & Child Health Division; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Scholarship comprised of grants from Siggins Miller Consultants, the RACP, an anonymous benefactor and Associate Professor Noel Hayman; Indigenous Australian and Māori Health Scholarship for Occupational and Environmental Medicine; Indigenous Australian and Māori Health Scholarship for Rehabilitation Medicine; and The John McLeod Indigenous Australian and Māori Health Scholarship in Public Health Medicine.
Applicants must be residents of Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand and identify and be recognised as an Aboriginal person, Torres Strait Islander, Māori or Pacific Islander. Eligible applicants must be medical graduates accepted into an RACP Basic Training Program, medical graduates intending to undertake physician training, or trainees currently enrolled in an RACP Basic or Advanced Training Program.
