Ralph & Betty Carlson Biotechnology Scholarship

The Ralph & Betty Carlson Biotechnology Scholarship is awarded to rising sophomore, junior or senior students majoring in a Life Sciences field who have completed or are currently enrolled in a research course at Virginia Tech. Applicants should possess a current minimum 3.0 GPA average. Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate experience with research training, including, but not limited to, hands-on experience in wet labs or conducting field work, or students who have participated in grant writing or preparation/submission of research papers. This scholarship covers one academic year and is non-renewable. The scholarship is funded by Virginia Tech and changes in funding may cause the university to replace this award with another award for the same amount.
