About this opportunity
The Ramakrishnan Award provides financial support to full-time undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in the Department of French Studies in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Waterloo. Awards are valued between $500 and $2,000 annually and are awarded on the basis of academic performance while overcoming a significant personal challenge or crisis. This award was established by a donation from Madhuri and Sri Ramakrishnan in honour of Francois Pare for the incredible support and mentorship he provided to their son, Vivek, through the completion of his BA, MA and PhD. The award recognizes students who have been particularly successful in surmounting an unexpected personal challenge or crisis while maintaining good academic standing with a minimum 70% average. Recipients are chosen by the Department of French Studies each Spring.
