Ramamurthy Madurai Scholarship

Established by Bina Ramamurthy, PhD '97 in 2023, the Ramamurthy Madurai Scholarship is a non-tuition scholarship for students majoring or minoring in the Department of Computer Science in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University at Buffalo. Applicants must be New York State residents. The scholarship gives preference to students who demonstrate a deep commitment to innovative activities involving musical endeavors such as composition, creation, fusion, music performance, and sound engineering or those pursuing a music minor or double major. Additional preference is given to first-generation students who are enthusiastic, creative learners, recognizing the importance of supporting diverse backgrounds in computer science education.
