Raman Sehgal Scholarships

The Raman Sehgal Scholarships are part of the NUAspire Scholarship Programme at Northumbria University. These scholarships award two students a total of £4,000 each, paid in instalments throughout the first three years of undergraduate study. The scholarships are designed to support underrepresented and disadvantaged students in Higher Education, helping them focus on their studies and manage budgeting challenges. The programme specifically targets students from neighbourhoods with low progression rates to Higher Education, students from Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds, and students who have declared a physical and/or mental health condition, long-term illness, or learning difference. Recipients must be UK/Home students studying full-time on eligible programmes in Nursing and Healthcare Sciences, Health and Social Care, or Bio-Science programmes at the Newcastle Upon Tyne campus starting in September 2026.
