About This Opportunity

The Randy Stefanizyn Bursary II has been established to honor Randy Stefanizyn, who completed his post-secondary studies in Welding Engineering and spent over 30 years with Syncrude Canada in Fort McMurray, holding various management positions. Randy helped found and chaired the board of directors for Alberta Council of Turnaround Maintenance Stakeholders (ACTIMS) and Construction Industry Stakeholder Association of Alberta (CISAA). This bursary is available to students enrolled in any period and program of Apprenticeship training at NAIT. The award is given on the basis of financial need to a well-rounded apprentice who demonstrates strong leadership aptitude through participation in school or community involvement and volunteer work. Apprentices must submit an application and will only be considered for the intake they attend NAIT. This award was established as a thank you to Randy on behalf of ACTIMS.
