Raukaraka Leadership Scholarship

The Raukaraka Leadership Scholarship recognises Victoria University of Wellington's commitment to supporting school leavers who demonstrate leadership qualities and recognises them as New Zealand's leaders of the future. Scholarships are awarded competitively based on academic merit, leadership, commitment to community, sporting and cultural achievements. The scholarship provides financial support valued at $5,000 or $10,000 for the first year of study, which can be put towards accommodation costs at a university hall of residence, or as a contribution towards tuition fees (unless the student qualifies for Fees Free). Recipients are expected to act as Ambassadors for the University and participate in appropriate events or marketing if requested. The scholarship is open to New Zealand citizens, permanent residents, Australian citizens, or international students who have completed at least two full years at a New Zealand secondary school.
