The Ray Heath/Edith Gooley Leadership Fund was established to honor the legacies of Ray Heath, a long-serving Secretary and Treasurer of the Wellington Paraplegic and Physically Disabled Association, and Edith Gooley, a dedicated member for over thirty years. The fund provides grants that support people with physical disabilities in pursuing their leadership aspirations. Grants may be used for costs associated with professional development, leadership projects or activities, and travel, course fees, and additional expenses related to these activities. This award is open to all New Zealand citizens with a physical disability who are permanent residents of New Zealand. Applicants must confirm that the activity for which the award is sought was either completed in the calendar year ending 31 December immediately prior, or will be completed in the year following.
