Raymond L. and Carolyn M. Fischer Scholarship

The Raymond L. and Carolyn M. Fischer Scholarship is awarded to promising students at Eastern Illinois University majoring in English or Speech Communication (Communication Studies). The scholarship alternates between disciplines by year: even years are awarded to Communication Studies majors and odd years to English majors. Recipients must be sophomores demonstrating excellence in English Literature or Speech History and Criticism. The award is announced in the Spring semester and disbursed in the Fall semester. Students are automatically considered for this scholarship upon completion of the General Application through the university's scholarship portal.
