About this opportunity
The Re-entry to Nursing Scholarship program supports nurses who wish to return to practice after a period away from the profession. The program is designed to help nurses complete their re-entry to practice requirements as set by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). There are two pathways available: Pathway 1 involves a period of supervised practice with provisional registration, and Pathway 2 involves completion of an NMBA-approved re-entry to nursing program valued up to $15,000. The scholarships are linked to subsequent employment commitments, requiring recipients to work in NSW Health for a minimum of two years in a permanent full or part-time position (minimum 16 hours per week) after successfully completing their re-entry pathway and obtaining full registration. The program aims to facilitate the return of experienced nurses to the NSW public health workforce while ensuring they meet current professional standards and registration requirements.
