About this opportunity
The Race, Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage Events Management Scholarship, known as 'Reach', is worth £15,000 (£5,000 per year for up to 3 years) for an undergraduate student enrolled on BA Events Management and Innovation at the University of Greenwich. The scholarship was created by a group of leading events professionals to deliver measurable change and increase diversity in the events, hospitality, and meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions sectors, where less than 10% of event professionals are from Black, Asian or underrepresented minorities. Now in its fourth year, Reach 2.0 has formalized governance and set a path to expand scholarships from three to five each year by connecting industry supporters with the University of Greenwich. The scholarship is currently sponsored by DRPG, a dynamic integrated group of creative marketing and employee communications agencies. Priority is given to students from low socioeconomic backgrounds (Index of Multiple Disadvantage quintiles 1 and 2, low household income) and/or students who are estranged or care-experienced.
