About this opportunity
The Reca Stone Postgraduate Scholarship in Legal Theory supports postgraduate research students in the field of legal theory at the University of Sydney Law School. This scholarship was established by the generous donation of the Wolfensohn Family Foundation and is awarded through the Julius Stone Institute of Jurisprudence. The scholarship can be awarded as either a primary or supplementary scholarship, providing stipend allowances up to $55,000 per annum for PhD students (up to 3.5 years) or Master of Laws by Research students (up to 1.75 years). The scholarship aims to attract top candidates with well-developed research projects who would be competitive at top international institutes of higher learning. Recipients must hold an honours degree or master's degree in law and be willing to conduct research in the discipline of legal theory. Preference is given to commencing candidates, though currently enrolled students demonstrating exceptional research achievements may also be considered.
