Recreation & Leisure Studies Alumni Scholarship of Graduate Studies

An award given annually on entrance to the MA program when a student, admitted directly from the University of Waterloo Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies honour's program to the master's program, is judged to be outstanding. The criteria will include community service and overall academic excellence. The selection is made by the Recreation and Leisure Graduate Studies Committee at the time of admission to the MA program. This entrance scholarship is valued at $1,000 and is awarded in the Fall term. Students are selected automatically by the Faculty/Department and do not need to apply separately for this award.
