Red Deer Polytechnic Building On Excellence Academic Award

The Red Deer Polytechnic Building On Excellence Academic Award is a scholarship program designed to recognize and support high-achieving students transitioning from high school to Red Deer Polytechnic. The award is specifically for students entering a credit program on a full-time basis directly from high school. The scholarship recognizes academic achievement and requires applicants to have maintained a high standard of performance in their final years of high school. Students must demonstrate an average of 80% or better in their most recently completed five Grade 11 or Grade 12 subjects, excluding optional subjects. With 75 awards available annually at $1,000 each, this program provides financial support to help students begin their post-secondary education. The application process is streamlined as students are automatically considered based on their completed General Application to Red Deer Polytechnic's scholarship system.
