Red Deer Polytechnic Foundation Athletic Award

The Red Deer Polytechnic Foundation Athletic Award is a nominated scholarship designed to support student-athletes who are members of Red Deer Polytechnic Athletic Teams. Recipients will be notified by the Red Deer Polytechnic Athletics Department throughout the year based on nominations rather than direct applications. To be eligible, students must be members of a Red Deer Polytechnic Athletic Team and meet ACAC (Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference) and CCAA (Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association) eligibility requirements. Recipients must have demonstrated team or sport leadership abilities. The selection criteria focus on student-athletes who are determined by their coach to be an asset to their team. This award recognizes both athletic contribution and leadership within the college's athletic programs. Two awards of $500 each are available annually. Students will be automatically considered based on their completed General Application through the Red Deer Polytechnic scholarship system, though final selection is made through the athletic department's nomination process.
