About this opportunity

The Redwood Trade High School Scholarships program provides funding opportunities for graduating high school seniors pursuing careers in skilled trades. Open to students living in Josephine County, Oregon or attending specific area high schools (Grants Pass, Hidden Valley, North Valley, Illinois Valley, Glendale, or Rogue River), this scholarship program offers access to at least 15 different scholarships through a single application. The program supports students entering careers that require specialized skills gained through vocational school or apprenticeships rather than 4-year degrees. Eligible trades include electrician, carpenter, plumber, automotive tech, welding and fabrication, dental assistant, medical assistant, pharmacy tech, massage therapist, cosmetologist, veterinary tech, firefighter, tattoo artist, culinary artist, and more. In 2025, $105,000 in awards were distributed to qualifying students. Applicants must provide basic demographic information, household financial information, a list of activities including school, work, and volunteer experience, contact information for two letters of recommendation, and respond to one short answer question about their educational plans, career goals, and inspirations.
