About This Opportunity

Regionalt investeringsstöd (Regional Investment Support) is a Swedish government funding program that co-finances investments in specific regions of Sweden. The support can be granted for investments in tangible and intangible assets. The program aims to support growth-oriented investments that contribute to sustainable development for companies and the relevant regions. The support is available for businesses operating in designated support areas across Sweden, covering large parts of northern Sweden (Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Västernorrland, Jämtland, Dalarna) with some exclusions, as well as specific municipalities in other counties including Gävleborg, Västra Götaland, Västmanland, Örebro, Södermanland, Östergötland, Jönköping, Gotland, Kalmar, Kronoberg, Blekinge, Skåne, and Värmland. For large companies (those with 250 or more employees, annual turnover exceeding 50 million euros, or balance sheet totaling over 43 million euros), support can only be granted for new establishment of operations or new activities that differ from those previously performed at an existing facility. Small and medium-sized enterprises face fewer restrictions. All investments must be assessed as profitable and sustainable to qualify for support.
