About this opportunity

This scholarship is designed to assist students enrolled in a one-year Honours program who are undertaking research utilizing non-animal alternative methods to replace the use of animals or animal products in medical research. The award is available to both domestic and international students who receive an offer of admission to an honours specialisation in the ANU College of Science or the ANU College of Health and Medicine. The scholarship provides financial support of $15,000 per annum, paid per semester over the duration of one year. There is one scholarship available each year. The selection is based on academic merit, and continuation requires maintaining a full-time study load. Applicants must provide a 200-word statement describing the research they intend to pursue during their Honours year and how they will be utilizing non-animal alternative methods to replace the use of animals or animal products in medical research.
