About this opportunity

This funding opportunity is part of a Swedish government initiative to strengthen research and innovation in wireless communication systems, increase Swedish companies' competitiveness, and strengthen Swedish research environments' ability to participate in international research collaboration and access international research infrastructure. The grant aims to support the establishment of strong research environments where research groups work toward a common research goal, both nationally and through bi- and multilateral collaborations. The focus is on strengthening basic research and, by extension, applied research and innovation within sixth-generation wireless communication systems (6G). The grant targets researchers in the field who can form strong research environments of the highest scientific quality, preferably both nationally and through international collaboration. The research environment should contribute to synergy effects and added value between the participating researchers and ongoing 6G initiatives, such as those within EU programs. Research that influences standards will be particularly considered.
