About This Opportunity
The Swedish Research Council offers research project grants within humanities and social sciences to give researchers the freedom to formulate by themselves the research concept, method and implementation, and to solve a specific research task within a limited period. The grant provides funding for all types of project-related costs including salaries, premises, running costs, and depreciation. Project grants are awarded for periods of 1-4 years, with a normal maximum of three years (four years only in exceptional cases with specific justification). The grant amount ranges from a minimum of 400,000 SEK to a maximum of 1,700,000 SEK per year, including indirect costs. Applications are evaluated based on scientific quality, novelty and originality, merits of the applicant, and feasibility by review panels consisting of Swedish and international researchers.
