About this opportunity

This postgraduate research scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a Masters by Research or PhD student who is willing to conduct research in the area of molecular genetics/proteomics, with a focus on blood-based biomarkers in cardiovascular disease. The scholarship is funded by the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia Quality Assurance Programs (RCPAQAP). The successful recipient will be awarded based on academic merit, research proposal, curriculum vitae, and cover letter. The scholarship provides a stipend allowance of $30,000 per annum for the duration of the research degree candidature. Recipients must be enrolled full-time in a Masters by Research or PhD program within the University of Sydney School of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Health, and must be based in Sydney. The scholarship supports research that advances understanding of cardiovascular disease through molecular genetics and proteomics approaches.
