About this opportunity
This Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to PhD students who are undertaking research in evaluating biomarkers and long-term cancer and cardiovascular disease outcomes in LIPID, FIELD and other cardiovascular disease clinical trials. The scholarship provides a stipend allowance to support full-time doctoral research within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. This funding opportunity is specifically designed for students conducting research that evaluates biomarkers and examines long-term outcomes related to both cancer and cardiovascular disease within established clinical trials including LIPID (Long-term Intervention with Pravastatin in Ischaemic Disease) and FIELD studies. The scholarship is funded by a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) grant and LIPID funds.
