About this opportunity
This scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student who is undertaking research in determining the benefits and harms of different clinical pathways for supplemental screening of women with dense breasts. The research will involve mixed-methods approaches (both quantitative and qualitative) to assess different clinical pathways including ultrasound, MRI, and/or tomosynthesis for supplemental screening of women with dense breasts. The scholarship is funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and National Breast Cancer Foundation, providing a stipend allowance to support full-time doctoral research at the University of Sydney's Faculty of Medicine and Health. The successful candidate will work on this important research area aimed at improving breast cancer screening outcomes for women with dense breast tissue.
