Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarships

The Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarships support Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students at Curtin University. These scholarships are centrally awarded to domestic and international students pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees. To apply, candidates must first obtain an Invitation to Apply from a registered Curtin supervisor. The scholarship application process involves submitting an Expression of Interest between July and August, obtaining supervisor endorsement, and submitting an admission application by October. The program is funded by the Australian Government and follows specific eligibility requirements, selection processes, and ranking procedures outlined in the RTP Scholarship Procedures. Successful recipients receive stipend support and must enrol by March of the following year. The scholarship is designed to support research students throughout their HDR candidature, with specific conditions for both new and current Curtin HDR students who do not currently receive base stipend support.
