About This Opportunity

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the United States Military Academy conducts research in a wide variety of applied and pure mathematics, applied statistics, data science, operations research, engineering mathematics, computational mathematics, modeling, analysis, optimization, and mathematics education. The program offers varying fellowship opportunities including Senior Fellows, post-Docs, pre-Docs, post-Bacs, and summer internships to those interested in research. Research areas include machine learning and artificial intelligence applications for Army warfighting, data science for health and wellness, multidisciplinary modeling, pure mathematics topics, cost modeling, data fusion, human resources analytics using AI/ML, autonomous systems, cybersecurity, engineering disciplines, and STEM education pedagogy.
