About this opportunity
An international residency in Austin, Texas in collaboration with The House of Songs. The residency provides excellent opportunities for concentrated work as well as access to an international network of musicians and composers. The Swedish Arts Grants Committee's international residencies abroad aim for both artistic development and expanded work and income opportunities for the grant recipients. The residency includes a workplace and accommodation, a residence grant, and reimbursement for travel costs. The residency is normally between 4-8 weeks and is designed specifically for professional music artists including musicians, composers, music producers, and conductors.

Review process
Applications are reviewed by the music working group composed of practicing artists or experts in the field. At least two people read each application. Decisions are made jointly by the music working group. Selection is based on the quality of artistic work and the applicant's financial need.
