The residency is located at 1Shanthiroad Studio/Gallery in Bangalore, India, which was founded in 2003 by Suresh Jayaram and is the oldest and most established residency in Bangalore. The purpose of the Swedish Arts Grants Committee's international residencies is to support artists' opportunities to create, develop and deepen contacts abroad.
